Angry Remote apliction has troubles transmitting fonts to my computer

Hi all,

I'm conecting via telnet to a digital machine. The following is to open a new window from the digital machine into my linux computer.
I do this with the command: open 172.23.30.33:.0.0.

The apliction (in the digital machine) opens a window in my computer for entering username and password. Meanwhile the aplication starts dowloading some fonts to my linux computer. This download fails!!!, so the aplication can't start.

Some weeks ago I tried to do the same with redhat 6.3 and I had no problems. But I wanted to install a newer linux version (MANDRIVA 2006). Now I can't open this aplication.

Any ideas??

I have firewall disabled.

Regards

Enzo

Have you checked that -where- the application is trying to copy fonts to? It might be that the user the application is running as does not have write permissions in the directory it is trying to write the fonts it copies into. Tried running it sudo or as root?

I tried running as root and using sudo, but happens the same. Now I'll look where the fonts are copied, may be the path doesn't exist. Originally the digital machine connect to a X-TERM not a Linux PC. What I'm trying to do is to replace the old X-Term with a Linux PC.

I will tell you what happens with the paths.

Enzo

I just look for the paths in the original X-TERM, but the fonts directories are refered to the digital machine not the X-TERM.!!

Now I'm totally confused.

I still have the problem. I have an additional information: I get this error message:

AUDIT: MON 5 13:01:05 2006: 15315 X:client 24 rejected from IP 200.2.90.4

Anybody knows what it means??
