Reinstalling Win XP

Hello, I currently have Windows XP and Mandrake Linux 9.1 running on a dual boot. They are both installed on seperate partitions of the same hard drive. Due to some extremely annoying circumstances with the network settings on Win XP, I have to reinstall it. My question is, if I reinstall XP on the same partition that it is on right now, will that cause any problems with Mandrake. e.g., will Lilo have a problem, or anything?

I just want to check and make sure I don't create more hastles for myself than necessary.

Thanks.

you will lose LILO, But you can restore it once deleted, booting from mdk 9.1 first installtion cd rom, type RESCUE in the prompt and then choose 'reinstall boot loader'.
Cheers!

I did a network install of mandrake because I don't have the resources to burn ISO's. Is ther anyplace I can get just Lilo (and whatever startup files are needed) without having to revert to the installation disks?

you can create a boot floppy disk from mandrake control center/boot options, it will help you to boot back into linux again.
hope this help

Yes, most mirrors that carry teh ISO's also carry the individual packages.

From here choose Mandrake 9.1/i586 link under downloads, this should be individual packages, usually for an FTP install, but you can get the individual packages if I recall correctly.

In fact this path shoudl get it for you from Texas's [??] linux mandrake distribution site.
