reinstalled mandrake and no kmail

I dont know why this is but after reinstalling mandrake 10.1 I cant launch kmail using the taskbar icon. I can launch kontact and use it that way but putting the kmail icon on my taskbar and then launching it gives 'KDEInit could not launch 'kontact-kmail.sh'. If I go in to it through the menu it's fine. Not a major problem but a bit annoying. Does anyone know why it is doing this?

since you can launch it from the menu, why dont you try dragging that onto your taskbar and use it, replacing the old KMail icon you had. Hope it will work then

I tried dragging the icon but as soon as its on the task bar it wont launch. It must be a bug or something.

try creating a shortcut on the desktop (right click>link to application) put "kmail" as the command to launch it. This just opens the kmail component without kontact (hopefully this'll work) if you need kontact aswell, use "kontact" for the command. This gives you a direct link to the applications sh file, so if this doesnt work, i would recommend reinstalling these components through mandrake control centre.
