Realplayer plays mp3's but not "firstrun"

P4,40GB,512,Mandrake9.2/KDE3.1

I installed Realplayer8 (.bin file).
Install went fine, no audio for "firstrun", but clip plays.
Same for plugin: no audio, but plugin works fine (I can see that it is downloading/ recognizing stream)

I guess it has something to do with setup (?!?!).

Realplayer plays mp3's w/o any problem....

ok, I solved the mystery...

I assumed that by selecting everything on the install.-cd everything would work just fine.....
WRONG! I had to uninstall envy24 which I guess was interfering with something and now my RealPlayer8 works just fine as well as every plugin, including every mplayer one.
Hope this helps s/o else with the same problem.
