read english and arabic in terminal

Hello all,
I need to be able to read both english and arabic in Linux terminal.I used to have mandrake 10.1. All I needed to do is select bidirectional text rendering under Setting / console setting to be able to read english and arabic in the same file. I upgraded to Mandriva 2007 , there is no "setting" option . Would anyone know how to fix that. thanks in advance.
