Questions with a Laptop Installation

Hi, last night I installed Mandriva on my Laptop, and I couldnt really be happier. However, I have 3 quick questions....

1. My touchpad's cursor sometimes jerks around every few seconds. I tried changing it in DrakMouse, but for some reason it's still playing around with me.

2. Is there any way I can find out how much power is left on my battery?

3. I am a programmer, and I use c++. Are there many IDE's that I can use with Linux, such as Visual Studio?

There is a program called KPowersave. You may need to install support for ACPCI first. Also check the documentation for Mobile Computing.
KDE has a C++ IDE. There are others, such as a designer for Qt that is a lot like Delphi's.

for an ide like visual studio as posted qt, kbasic, gambas, there are actually a few. which laptop do you have?

It's a Compaq Turion64. I'll go ahead and seach up for the IDE's and for the power program. I believe I have ACPI enabled. Just another quickie---Will I be able to seach out Wireless Networks? For example if I am at a coffee shop or something....Thanks
