Quanta VPL Editor
 

Hi there,

The only application I now use from Windows is Macromedia Dreamweaver via Crossover Office. I`d like to replace it with Linux`s Quanta.

Problem is that if I press the VPL Editor button on Quanta it instantly crashes.

It`s Quanta Plus 3.3.2

Anyone have this problem and know how to fix it?

Try running quanta from the command line (and post the resulting error messages) so that we can see what went wrong.

I use Quanta from KDE 3.4.2 and I find that it is much more stable then the previous one. Unfortunately I beliave you must update your entire KDE to update quanta....

As soon as Mandriva offical 2006 is out I will be getting that, so hopefully it will include a newer version of Quanta without the bug.

Output when run fom command line :- and VPL editor button is pressed...

KCrash: Application 'quanta' crashing...

Changing the version is pretty much what I would do.

I used to have a Kaffeine 0.6 that would crase constantly and it doesn't do it anymore on version 0.7

You just need to hunt for good packages =)
