Added packfile ./baseq2/pak17.pak (22 files)
Added packfile ./baseq2/pak19.pak (13 files)
Added packfile ./baseq2/maxpak.pak (40 files)
using /home/mooreted/.quake2/baseq2/ for writing
couldn't exec default.cfg
couldn't exec config.cfg
Console initialized.

------- sound initialization -------
sound sampling rate: 11025
------------------------------------
------- Loading ref_softx.so -------
LoadLibrary("./ref_softx.so")
No joysticks found
recursive shutdown
Error: Couldn't load pics/colormap.pcx

Check out loki installers. They may have one for Quake 2. I'm at work and don't have the website bookmarked. I found a lot of installers for games in Linux and PC using Cedega.

I have searched everywhere and no one's suggestions are working. Is there no one who has gotten Quake 2 to run on Mandrake?
