PWC driver in Mandrake 10 (Philips Toucam II, Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000, etc.)

Has anyone solved the PWC driver problem in Mandrake 10? I found some questions about in on the web, but the solutions only worked for older Mandrakes.

The problem is that the cams work very well, but ONLY in one program called CamStream. I need the cams to work in GnomeMeeting, OpenPhone and XawTV. GnomeMeeting complains about invalid palette, but that's not the real cause for it to not work. This same problem exists with both cams I've tried, Philips Toucam II and Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000, and probably with all the other dozen cams supported by this same driver. Annoying!

Here's the driver page: http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam/

ADDED: I just updated GnomeMeeting to the latest version with the Mandrake 10 packages. Did not help. In Fedora Core 2 the cams work fine after installing the module RPM packet.
