Problem with Mandriva backup

I'm running Mandriva 2009. I only have 640mb of memory. While I'm running the Mandriva backup(sytem tools/configure your computer/sytem/backups) the system monitor shows 369 of that 640 used. In the configuration wizard I check mark backup system and Backup users. I select configure tab at the place where it says: Hard drive used to prepare backups for all media. I choose a directory called system backup that is in my home folder. 76490380 (MB) is selected for maxium space allocated for backups. I select 60 at the place where it says delete incremental or differential backups after so many days.

Every time I go through this procedure many hours later I get an error message saying that nothing has been backed up. Am I doing anything wrong? Do my memory stats above indicate that I don't have enough memory?

Take a look at the text I put in bold, your trying to back up your home directory but your destination is the same.

Try to use a different partition if you can.

Hope this helps.

I get the same error message whatever partition I use.
