Problem installing mandrake 9.1

Hi
I'm tring to install mandrake using an existing iso on my hard drive. So i made a hard drive boot disk(hd.img). Everything worked fine until i reached the screen right after the license agreement.
Here is the error message:
Quote:
An error occurred
Can't access kernel modules corresponding to your kernel(file /lib/modules.cz-2.4.18-5mdkBOOT is missing), this generally means your boot floppy in not in sinc with Installation medium (please create a newer floppy)
Does anybody here can help me ? thank you

did you do what it says? create a boot floppy from the hd.img that comes with the iso. If this doesn't work, you should check the md5sum to make sure the iso is ok.

awww sorry if i posted in the wrong forum

Ok I fixed the problem but i still have another error when installing linux from an iso image on a hard drive. During the installation of mandrake it never asked me for the path to the second iso image, therefore some application cant be installed because it is not in the first iso....

yup, that's the problem with the hard disk install. You can't add the stuff on the 2 other CDs (there might be a way of doing it by first extracting everything and then combining them - I don't know if it actually works, though).
You can add the stuff on the other CDs by setting up urpmi and then using rpmdrake to select and install the software you want. For how to add the other two CDs look here:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=95026

This is for adding external CDs. If you don't want to use CDs, you can extract the RPM folders of the 2 isos into a directory and add the RPMs to urpmi sources by something like the following:
urpmi.addmedia -f CDs file://{path to the directory containing the RPMS}
