PHP execute at command line

I have no problem running php with a browser, but I cannot find PHP as an executable, nor can the 9.2 Mandrake release. If Apache can run php script, the stand-alone executable must be lurking somewhere, or does it require special attention above and beyond the installation (which was done with Apache2 and postgresql?

ie: php -h at the command line yields nothing.

No, they are not both installed by default, and depending on your version, check out the following link:

Yeah, thanks Josh.

I have actually added php-cgi, php432-devel, php-cli and php-pear now and everything is coming up the way I would expect. I just 'assumed' there was a stand-alone php, and when an rpm -qa couldn't find one, I didn't have the chance at that time to work through all the other php- options.

Oh well, learning never stops, but thanks for caring enough to comment on this.
