I installed OoO1.1. It does not use CUPS for my printers, instead SGENPRNT. I did . How do I force it to use CUPS?

Another OoO1.1 printing goblin (or my own stupidity): It constantly uses print as Letter format even though the page setup for the page is A4 regardless if I set it on the previous print as A4. Sniffed through the preferences /options dialogue, could not find anything. How do I set my default page format, and make it use it throughout on my document without setting it manually every time I print? (or is this a bugzilla waiting to happen?)

Maybe it's becuase I installed it using (dont know about the ./setup, ./install worked):
tar -xvzf Ope*.tar.gz
cd Open*
./install

go into mdk control centre or command mcc then go to printers and I think down the bottom of the screen is an option to go admin mode or change print server....choose cups, it may need to grab some software then when cups is installed go into KDE control centre or command kcontrol and go down to printing select admin role and allow printing for all LOCAL users
