numlock comes on turning on when booting up and when login screen appears
 

Hi,

I have Mandriva 2006 Free and it's installed on a laptop. So far it works great with my old Geforce2 Go Nvidia card able to use 3D acceleration. I have a small annoying issue: numlock keeps turning on when I boot up and when login screen appears. I thought it was the bios setting but that is not it.

Just wondering if anyone else came across this? It must be annoying for laptop users. I tried changing the keyboard setting in Mandriva to a Inspiron keyboard or a 101-key board. It's was a standard Dell keyboard setting originally.
I'm thinking Mandriva might have a file setting that controls this - something like /etc/X11/XF86Config.

Otherwise Mandriva is flying! :D

For KDE System->Configure->KDE->peripherals->keyboard
