NO pages will load after internet connection has been made!
I am using an Intel536ep hardware-based modem. Just right now, I installed the modem driver. I assume the driver compiled successfully, because I can connect to the internet with no problem. In fact, I am connecting at 54,666!
But after I connect to the internet (dial-up) I attempt to use Mozzila 1.6 to browse, but no pages will load! The page starts to load and maybe 10-20 kb gets loaded, but then the page just STOPS.
I also installed Netscape 7.2, but the same thing happend.
I assume there is nothing wrong with my ISP because I am typing this using Windows fine. And the installation of both Mozilla and Netscape appear to have been successful.
After I created my internet connection, I used mozilla 1.4 that came with Mandrake for a few minutes. It was SOOO slow! Then once that worked, I installed Mozzilla 1.6, and that when I could no longer load ANY web pages.
I keep getting time-outs. Is there some program other than KPPP that I can use to create my internet setup?
Things were going fine on Red Hat, but then I decised to switch over to Mandrake and I'm beginning to think it was a BIG mistake!!!
