it seems to be a route pb, isn't it?
(i use a wifi-usbkey with ndiswrapper and it looks ok.)

thanks

Have you tried adding the host machine you're trying to ping to the /etc/hosts file? Or adding it via the Mandriva Control Centre (Do Alt & F2 then type mcc)?

Hi is your gateway 192.168.50.254 if not the gateway is not configured properly
also check if your network card is up
also check in the /etc/sysconfig/network-scrips/ifcfg-eth? depending on the interface you are using to make sure the ip address is there if not put it there so it boots with it and starts with your system
and also i am not to sure but your result from your ifconfig should have a WLAN unless it a wireless card your are configuring
and if you want to delete the route use
route del default gateway (ip address)

Thumbs up

hello,
i found by myself the problem.
it was the wep key which was erronous.
i wonder why mandriva tells nothing when it happens!
