Maybe you're missing a Compiz-Fusion plugin package. See what you have installed, see what you're possibly missing and install it/them. I'm not sure how Mandriva packages/names the packages where Compiz-Fusion plugins are, but as an example, on Ubuntu reposities there are compiz-fusion-plugins-main and compiz-fusion-plugins-extra, to begin with.
