urpmi in cache ??

I am using mandrake 9.2
If I update with urpmi, does 9.2 keeps the new downloaded rpm in cache somewhere.
If not, what I suspect, what can I do to change that.

If reply, please be specific, I am new to this * under the hood * thing.
If it's doing things in GUI, no problem.

why I want to do this ?? I have quite a few machines with no internet or network( at my school )

Thanks a stack

By default, files downloaded by urpmi are not saved. I'm not in Mdk right now so I can't check, but I think you can specify that they will be saved by using the --noclean option. Anybody feel free to correct me if I'm off target
