How much will Mandriva venture into developing markets like India, China, APAC and some African countries?Would it aim to capture the market right from the beginning or wait for another company to tap the market and then try to eat into their marketshare.(Like what most linux distros are doing in the developed economies)

What are a few of the major new features expected in Mandrivalinux 2006?

How does Mandriva work on xbox?

Wit the advances in to the corporate world being made by Linux and Mandriva, would they ever consider following Red Hat and producing a corporate and community version - more than they do already? or will they remain as they are.

Does the merger mean that Apt4Rpm will overtake urpmi as the package manager of choice, or will urpmi be opened to other distros?

IMHO the weakest point of Mandriva is how it is treating its community. Or I should say how it is NOT treating its community. You seem to competely ignore them (no idea about the club though, I won't pay just to be a community member). Any plans about improving your relation with Mandriva fans?

Will there ever be a gamer's edition again? Linux distros seem to ignore this slice of the market.

To XavierP: The next package manager will be smartpm. AFAIK apt4rpm is unmaintained. Urpmi is already opened, everything that Mamdriva/Mandrake writes is GPLed.

Will the Mandrake and Conectiva distro merge? Or will they continue to be maintained as separate OSes?

jeremy 05-02-2005 02:18 PM

The interview has been posted.
