Exclamation need help in adding more space to my linux partition

hello there,

pls i would like to know how to add more space to my linux partition.

i have a 30g HDD. i dual boot windows with mandrake 9.2

for windows

c:/ 10g

d:/ 10g

e:/ 6g

for mandrake linux

/boot 100mb

/ 3.4g

linux swap 512mb

i dont want to touch the c:/ and d:/ in the windows because they are vital but the e:/ partition is almost free so i want to take that and add to the / partition in the mandrake. can i use mandrakes partiton tool or partition magic or how do i go about it.

thanks

Just use Mandrake's partition took. Why not take off any data you use on e and transfer it to another partition, and just format e?

I have used QTparted to change partition sizes, it cannot be used on a partition which is mounted or in use, however. I run it from Knoppix CD. Why do you need more space? 3.4 should be enough for the Mandrake system , you can use the E drive for your data (provided it is not formatted NTFS).

OK I THINK THAT WILL BE OK. I LL MAKE THE E:/ DRIVE AS MY DATA STORAGE PARTITON SINCE MANDRAKE AS NTFS SUPPORT.
