Need advise installing VNC.

I've been trying ti install VNC 4, but keep getting the error below:

"Some package requested cannot be installed:
vnc-4.1.1-1.i386 (due to unsatisfied libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3)
do you agree ?"

This occurs when I try to install the package I downloaded from their site.

I've tried using urpmi to install the libstdc++, but it indicates it's already installed. I think. urpmi is giving me headachs today.

When I tried using urpmi to install VNC that was a no go. I got the following message:
" unable to take medium "Installation CD 4 (x86) (cdrom4)" into account as no list file [/var/lib/urpmi/list.Installation CD 4 (x86) (cdrom4)] exists
no package named vnc4"

Other permutations of VNC also fail in that command. Any ideas?

Has anyone been able to get VNC installed on Mandrake 10?

Thanks.

It sounds like you need to change your URPMI sources since they are trying to look for them on the CD. It would best if you set up your URPMI sources to some online sites. That way, it will just download all the packages and software to you directly.

As for VNC being installed in Mandrake 10.0, I know it is already preinstalled for you in Mandriva 10.1 and Mandriva 2005LE.
