Monitor and USB Hub Problem
Hello, I have Mandrake Linux 10.0 Official and Windows XP installed on my Dual Boot system. In Mandrake 10, for whatever reason, when Linux tries to put the monitor on standby/idle mode, the screen looks all deformed and crazy and it pops up a message saying that the Horizontal and Vertical Refresh Rates are out of sync. I have disabled screensavers but I allow Linux to put the monitor on idle mode after a certain amount of time.
My second problem is this: I have a semi-generic USB Hub hooked to my computer. When I try to boot Mandrake with it hooked up, it just hangs on the booting screen. I pressed ESC to see more details of the bootup, and it seems to hang when it detects USB devices. However, when I boot into Windows XP, the USB Hub does not cause Windows to hang.
If you want me to post my computer's specs or whatever I will do that for you.
Thank you for reading this! I would appreciate anyone's help in this matter.
