Minor problem with KDE and Superkaramba

I have Mandriva 2006, and am loading Superkaramba at startup. Is there a command in KDE to minimize an app to the system tray? Right now karamba only minimizes to the taskbar.

I think it's up to the program itself, if it "knows, how to do it". For example Kopete (IM app) has an option to "Start minimized", which makes it start so that only the icon on the system tray area is visible (otherwise it starts with the full window visible).
