MDK 10.1 install fails to recognize 3rd CD
Hi. I'm trying to install Mandrake 10.1 on my system. Everything seems to go smoothly until it asks for the third installation CD. I insert the CD, and it acts as though I inserted a blank or unrelated CD and asks me to insert it. I've burned the CD twice and it has been MD5'd. All should be correct.
If I skip the access of the 3rd CD, it seems to go okay the rest of the install, but then when I reboot it goes haywire. It fails to accept the root username, won't boot KDE and won't even let me reboot. ARGH! -A |
mdk 10.1 3rd cd
I have downloaded and burnt it. It is OK for me.

One suggestion I have for you (If you have a dvdburner)
Is to use the new dvd iso. It's all disks on one, it's awesome, and it worked just fine for me. I haven't tried the cd's 1 by 1, so I'm not too sure. |
Also, I scrolled down, somebody else had a problem with disks 2&3, because they were 10.1, and the disk 1 was 10.0
Make sure you don't have 10.0 disk 3 on accident? |
The md5sum are correct for all CDs?
