I've been trying to get MDK 10.1 RC1 up'n'running for the past few hours with no success. After it has completed install I tried booting the system, but the system resets just after the kernel loads. No output, nothing, simply reset. i don't need a kernel to do that... I have the reset button handy
I tried using the kernels off the 10.0OE distro that I still have on my computer, but when it tries to mount the root filesystem it says there's an error (something about the partition not being ext3). Well, it isn't, it is reiser, so no mounting, no initrd, >> BOOM << Kernel panic, no init found.
Can I pass an option to the kernel on the command line to get it to load the resiserfs.ko.gz instead of ext3.ko.gz? Or any other trick to get it up and running?
