Hello,

My system won't boot.
I am on mandriva2006 powerpack
I get the following error at
boot time :

checking root filesystem :
your /etc/fstab deos not contain the fsck passno
field. I will kludge around things for you , but you
should fix your /etc/fstab as soon as possible.

fsck.ext2:/

the superblock could not read or deos not describe a correct ext2 filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains as ext2 filesystem, then superblock is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an altenate superblock :

e2fsck -b 8193 (device)...


How to fix this ???

Save time reinstall - dont format the users partition 1 hour at most
