My past experiences with Broadcom cards on Linux have been pretty unsuccessful, hence I always order Intel wireless cards on my Dell laptops. Broadcom doesn't have native Linux drivers, but maybe using something like NDIS wrapper could work. There is an open-source broadcom driver, but I have no idea how it is.
If you already have this Apple broadcom wireless card, then it's worth a shot. But if you were buying a wireless card, I would avoid it if you really need to use it with Linux.
