Mandriva LE 2005 on Acer Ferrari 3400
 
I'm probably getting one, so I was wondering if anyone has tested Mandrake (or any other Linux distro) on this laptop. I've provided two links in case you don't know which one I'm talking about:

I don't have a ferrari but I have an aspire 1804 WSMi laptop. I mst say that Mandrake is a little hit and miss with Acer but then again I would most likely discourage anyone from buying from Acer with all the hassle I have had from them. Look elsewhere for a PC, avoid acer like the plague.

Why? Give me details. Please. I'd like to know because I don't want to waste money on a laptop that I'll possibly dislike.
