If you have any games installed now, you will find them in the Mandriva Menu System, in the All Applications section, you should have a Games sub-menu. In the Games sub-menu you should see several game categories (as sub-menus) such as Arcade, Board, Cards, Strategy, and Other.

If you have not done so, I strongly suggest to all Mandriva users that you set up the Internet Software Media Sources (ftp software repositories). If you do not understand what this is all about, please read the article I have written on my LQ Blog with the intent of explaining how and why you should do so.

If you have no games installed, open the Mandriva Software Installer (Install and Remove Software - All Applications section in the Menu System).

Expand the Games category (left pane).

Select a sub-category (Adventure, Arcade, Boards, Cards, Other, Puzzles, Sports, or Strategy).

For each sub-category you select you can select game packages to install.

When you have finished selecting software to install. click the Apply button (bottom right) to install your selected software.

Please read my article (as linked in post number 2) which describes how and why you should set up the Internet Software Media Sources for use with urpmi and the Mandriva Software Installer. If you set up these repositories, you should not get such errors when attempting to install software.
