Mandriva 2010 Package manager

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Is anyone else having problems with the package manager in 2010? I find it more than just a little buggy especially when compared to 2009.1.

Does anyone have any suggestions or remedies to this problem?..

MandrivaAMD64/Gnome

Also I did check this link

No problems at all, Mandriva 2010 Gnome 32 - bit.
Installed 6 days ago. Works perfect.
Used it right away to install 75 packages. To test the Package Manager.

May be an x86_64 problem ? ?

Else I use 'urpmq' for search, and 'urpmi' for install on Mandriva.

When I initially attempted to install some packages, the GUI package manager had a problem, and informed my that I may need to update my media sources. I opened a terminal as root and ran urpmi.update -a to update all my media sources. I re-opened the GUI package manager and all packages installed with no more troubles. Since then, no issues here.

We may be better able to help you solve the problem if we know what the problem is. You neglected to add that information in your initial post . . .
