Mandriva 2009 Loading Problems
Last time I was here I was having problems just running Mandriva 2007 and 2008 on my computer and we determined it was due to the BIOS being quite out of date for my motherboard. Asus M2A-VM and using the on-board video card. I updated the BIOS to 901 which was to have a fix for Red Hat and I tried running 2008 from the CD and it finally worked. I should mention that my computer is dual boot XP and Ubuntu. I was able to run Ubuntu but not Mandriva 2007 or 8 until the BIOS upgrade. Now, Mandriva 2009 will load/run only so far using the CD. It runs loading so far and stops; I CTRL,ALT,DEL and it will continue to load and then gets near the end and stops. Have to hard shut down to reboot. When watching the loading bar in the lower left side of screen the bar gets to within the last half inch of the didsplay when it stops. I thought having updated the BIOS and having the earlier versions now work would have allowed 2009 to work as well, Any thoughts, ideas? As always greatly appreciated.
