hi i´m running mandriva 2008 free and i tried to install the ati drivers ver.8.42.3 from ati´s site.
the module compiled but i can´t load it
here is my fglrx-install.log

i get some warnings and some deprecated things there
any clues how can i fix it
thanks Lenard i have read the wiki but following that i end up with the previous version of the driver (8.40.4)
My graphics card is an old radeon 9600pro and it works pretty well with the 8.40.4 driver but i was wondering if i can install the latest driver 8.42.3
no luck yet....
i think i have to wait until the next release or for someone to build an rpm .
