mandriva 2007 runs from cd only
 

I downloaded a single CD for Mandriva 2007 Spring. I tried to install it on a new laptop, it works, but only seems to run from the CD. If I reboot I have to re-install it.
I am guessing it must be some sort of trial version? Does anyone know? I don't want to buy it from the site and get the same thing again? Thanks :)

You may have downloaded the live cd version of Mandriva. If you want to install it to your hard drive, you have to let it run from the cd, when the desktop shows up, click on the "install" icon.

I do have a "Live Install" icon, When I click the Icon, it acts like its running but after 15 seconds it quits. The connection seems ok, the internet works fine. Not sure what the deal is.

If the live cd installation does not run, try using the Mandriva Free dvd or cd set to install Mandriva (the version thats not the live cd).
