Hi all,
Just finished installing MDV 2007 and so far everything is working..
Even the Nvidia driver and flash and java, and K3B..
Keep up the good work Mandriva...

Tonight, just finished my new install of Mandriva 2007 PowerPack, worked fine except I forgot to get a copy of my bookmarks from Google on the 2006 install.
Was just curious, what is the reason for doing a new install when I just did an upgrade and it worked beautifully? I got to keep my settings and all of the update I've already done to firefox and kopete on my own time. Just curious as to the benefits.

I had a bunch of hacked applications on my Mandriva 2006 trying to get the video players working and lots of application installs that did not work but left a lot of trash on the hard drive. I just saved all my /home/scott/*.* files to a cd and then re-installed on the clean Mandriva 2007 install. An upgrade would have left the trash files on the hard drive I believe. Consider yourself fortunate if you got a "beautiful" upgrade.
Just installed 2007 myself. Quite impressed. Only prob was Cups . . . . dont know why yet.
What brand of printer are you using ? All mine and my daughter's are HP's of various models. Go to HP's web site and lookup the Linux section for HP and download the correct Linux driver and the newer HPLIP (?) file for the HP printer you have. Works great ! BTW you can get a workhorse of a HP USB inkjet printer for about $40.00, my personal choice !
