I just installed 2007 too, but I can't get a higher resolution than 800 x 600, even after putting the Nvidia driver in.

Any suggestions?

I am not an expert on Mandriva, but I would use drake config to confirm and or change your monitor specs..Look to see if your monitor is listed and if not, see if you can load your monitor sync/scan frequencies into it..usually thay can be changed in the "Vesa' section in many distros..
Look in your monitor book or online for both the horizontal and vertical scan frequencies for you monitor..Thats what you need to enter..
Goodluck,

Thanks jolphil, I looked up the monitor brand and model and inputted that.

I now have normal sized icons, rather than 3 per screen!
