Mandriva 2006 Crash

Hi,

I have installed Mandriva 2006 (cover disk). It is very good. However, my old CivCtp (Loki) now crashed with a segV when it starts a game. Also Mono is crashing in the same way as well Eternal Land. At least CivCtp worked with Mandrake 9.2. I have installed all the fixes that I can think could be relevent from the Mandriva site. But it still crashes.

Has anyone else seen this problem? Any ideas?

Under KDE it crashes out to the login prompt. Under IceWm it just crashes.

I think it's a bug with Mandriva 2006 altogether, in 2006 I noticed several applications, that even after updates would crash for no reason. For example KAlarm crashes when I try to change the options...why I don't know. Try using Mandriva 2005 LE, I never had a problem out of it, I've even seen that it has better hardware support first hand because it works on some laptops at work that Mandriva 2006 and Ubuntu 5.10 won't even boot on.
