Mandriva 10.1 doesnt see graphics card of monitor...

Whenever I try to start Madriva (Mandrake) 10.1, it says that X couldn't find my display. During installation I have constantly tried to set the calibration for my display, but every mode and combination fails. I have a 6800 GT, Samsun 997 DF monitor. Could someone PLEASE tell me how to get X to see my gfx card?!? Thanks!!

Boot it up, login as root and run the command 'XFDrak'
