Mandrake LE 2005 Here...
 

Hi Guys, I am not really a Newbie to Linux but I am using LE 2005 as I got Linux Format Mag from June 2005! My Laptop is Bust, So I am using a PC with only 98mb Memory.
Well to my Newbie Questions:
1) I have some iso images on CD's using kb3 burner.
How do I use them? With what tool do I open them up?
2) Shorewall, What is the standard Setup that is relativly secure?
How do I check Spyware on Linux?
3) More Questions Next Time.

If I understand you correctly, the answer to your first question is just open the .iso files with k3b.
However, even if you have 2 CD/DVD drives - I would copy the .iso files to a hard drive first, and open it from there.
Once on your hard drive, just Right-click the .iso file, and select open with k3b, and it should automatically go to burn the image.
Alternately, you can open k3b, click Tools, Select either Burn CD Image, or Burn DVD ISO Image (depending on if it's a CD or DVD image), navigate to the .iso image you wish to burn.
The rest SHOULD be self-explainitory.

I Downloaded ISO Images and Burned them on CD.
But I want to Open The ISO Image?;)

As a bit of explanation, an iso image is just that, an image of a CD or DVD. If you burn the file to a CD as a data file, the contents will still be locked up in the image file. You must burn the file as an image file so the contents are put onto the CD. Alternatively, there are iso tools you can use to mount the image file as if it were a partition (kiso comes to mind), but if you burn the image to a CD or DVD (as appropriate for the image) the contents will be readily available.
