Mandrake Beta 2 /RC1

Ok Now I am stuck when loading Mandrake 10 beta to the install runs fine but it wont boot. So then I got the RC1 and now the install wont even come up, it gets to the point of reading the cd then it goes to a blank screen and nothing. I tried running text only and disabling acpi but no go. I am going the wrong direction here! Please help!

I had the same problem. Their is a bug in the new 2.6 kernel when you use the SMP option. When the splash screen comes up hit f1 and type in alt1. This will use the 2.4 kernel series. My machine wont even boot using the the 2.6 kernels. So I have a MDK 10RC1 system with a 2.4 kernel. My other machine are all Athlons loaded with the 2.6 and no problems.
