please give your full pc configuration....
does the linux system recognizes your pci card?
Try in the KDE menu:
-KDE->Configuration->Mandrake Control Center
in the mandrake control center, choose network. and configure your connection using dhcp.
This is a real problem in Mandrake 9.1
People airily say. "Just use the GUI".
It's not as simple as that.
If you have a LAN connection and a broadband modem the damn machine keeps trying to connect to the internet via the lan.
It is absolutely exasperating.
I may have some issues with some scripts. I have a program that can't work unless I remove localhost from resolv.conf. I can't modify resolv.conf because the scripts keep recreating it. Is there an easy way to make it so people that know what they are doing can have user defined files that aren't erasedby overly helpful scripts. Your DNS in resolv.conf first says LAN interface DNS lookup, then Next DNS lookup.

The PC can detect both NIC. I had try setting both connection to get dynamic IP from DHCP. I had try setting one using static IP and another using dynamic. Eventually both fails.
i try out with a single NIC, it works out but not for two NIC. what the things it might go wrong from here..??
FYI, i'm having a P3 450 with 10GB harddrive. ( this is just for trial out before really moving to a real server )
