Mandrake 9.2 Shutdown Hangs with Kernel SMP

Hi
I have installed a fresh Mandrake 9.2 Power-pack edition to my desktop PC (P4 2.6 GHz HT). As the processor is Hyper-threading, the installation process automatically sat up an smp Kernel with two processors (yeah!)

One strange issue is that on shutdown the power always remains ON, and I have to push the button to power off.... When I use Kernel non SMP the system shutdowns regularly!

Has anybody experienced such a problem?

I've always had to append " apm=power-off " into my lilo.conf file and rerun lilo.. That will allow APM to work to turn the power off when shutting down the SMP kernel.

thanks for your reply!
in the meantime I fixed it adding APM=SMP....
without that APM doesn't work, thus apm=power-off was correctly setted.
