Mandrake 9.2 and Non-Threaded Perl

The default MD install of perl is threaded.

Does anyone know how to re-work the default install so that the perl is non-threaded?

I've recompiled perl a few times, but then MD Control Center doesn't work and a bunch of other things, too.

Would be great to somehow tweak the MD install of perl instead of having to re-invent the wheel.

Thanks very much.

Happy Holidays
