mandrake 10 nvidia drivers and winmodem drivers

Does anyone know if the mandrake 10 powerpack has the nvidia fx5200 drivers ?
Also are there drivers for the windmodems ?
I am using the downloaded version and there are no drivers for nvidia, If there are on the commercial version I will purchase immediately
Thanks in advance.. mikeymouse

Reading directly from the box.
Automatic 3d acceleration for: Nvidia (GeForce & Nforce)

Chances are you'll still have to configure XF86Config-4 file to get them to work. I did.

Reading from the box again.
Internet Connection: Internet wizard that supports classic modems, DSL, cable and USB modems - except WinModems.

It's still worth buying - the manuals are well worth having, there's loads of extra software etc etc.

Powerpack definately has the nvidia drivers

Pongmaster, didn`t the nvidia stuff get configured at install?

Powerpack also has heaps of extra stuff that you don`t have to go looking for like flash and java. Just go to the mandrake website and have a look at all the packages in the powerpack edition.

Installed yes, configured no.
When I rebooted the first time I got a black screen, then dropped to a command prompt.
Did a bit of XF & modprobe tweaking and it rebooted fine.

As far as I know the Nvidia drivers supplied with the boxed Mandrake are the same as those you can download from the Nvidia website, so personally I would not buy the boxed copy just for the graphics drivers.

They are the same but are provided as a mdk rpm, so are much easier to install. Since quite a few people have had problems installing the nvidia drivers that they have downloaded from the website, this is a definate plus. But that is not the only extras you get (heaps of extra stuff) .And probably most importantly it helps support mandrake, who in my opinion are doing a wonderful job at trying to produce a slick and easy to use desktop operating system that windows users won`t have too much trouble with.

Cheers
