i don't know why the program your using to change your settings is not saving them.

go into /etc/X11/xf86config

or xf86config-4

or xorg.conf ...

one of those is your 'main' config settings for X (graphical and hardware items).

make sure you make copies of whatever you do BEFORE you edit and save, just in case you 'mess up' and make things worse ;)

I don't know much about this, but do you need to run MMC as root to be able to save the settings? I'm thinking it could be file permissions...

i'v not used mandy in quite a while.

if u mean the control center, then no, you don't need to do that to edit the config files.

just pull them up with your favorite editor.

permissions SHOULD not be a prob if you are root.

good luck, keep us abreast. :)
