Mageia Packages compared to Mandriva
I used to have Mandriva 2010. My computer was running slugish, so I just did a clean install of Mageia 1. I only switched to Mageia out of curiosity.
I noticed, gobs of packages that I used to install with the package manager in Mandriva are not found in Mageia. One example is filezilla.
Does anyone know which repos I should add to get most of the packages from Mandriva?

I just went to the control panel, and clicked a button that added a bunch of repos, now filezilla for example is on my list. I am not sure which repo it was in, but this forum had some useful info on the issue: https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=169

Hi, please list those packages for us, your Mageia users.
I also have found some items missing from my program list,
but not always supplied by the repo
(mandriva(Mandy), or Mageia.("Major", in my mind, if you say it quickly))
And it would help if the devs knew what you require from a GNU/Linux Distribution.
check it out...

Cheers, Glenn
I will not enter arguments between Mandriva and Mageia, I am a user not a politician.

Last Call, if it's on the Mageia rpm list, it's available for Mageia.
And the Mandriva lists are "theohetocally" seperate.
! But! , you might hack a Mandriva package to install & work with Mageia.
