Location of kernel source code

I am trying to install the Cisco VPN client for Linux on my MDK 9.1 box. I have reached the point where I get the following prompt -

"In order to build the VPN kernel module, you must have the kernel headers for the version of the kernel you are running".

I have to give the location of the kernel source code. It unhelpfully lists the default locations for RH 6.x and 7.x, and for SuSE 7.3. Can someone please point me to the usual default directory in MDK 9.1 which contains the Linux kernel sorce code. (There's nothing unusual about my Mandrake installation, so presumably the kernel source code will be in the default location).

" the usual default directory in MDK 9.1 which contains the Linux kernel sorce code."

The kernel source code is in /usr/src/linux on any distribution. However the kernel source code is optional and you may or may not have it installed. If you do not have the source code at /usr/src/linux then you can probably find it as a rpm on your Mandrake install CD and install it.

The kernel source code is on the Mandrake install CD - but at 160 MB I don't know that it's worth the effort. The VPN client itself is only 1.3 MB. I'm keen to make the move from Windo$e to Linux, but I already have a working install under Win that was a whole lot less time (and space) consuming
