Issue 1
I've got two soundcards on my system, an onboard intel one and a creative audigy platinum. Sound worked fine in 10.1, but once I upgraded to LE2005 it died. I think its because of the onboard sound card, because I remember having problems with it before. Now my question is, how do I delete the intel soundcard? I went to the control center and in the hardware section, I can customize the soundcard but I don't see how I can delete them.
Issue 2
I've got a Auslinx 2007V ADSL modem. Its connected to my PC using an ethernet cable, so it doesn't need drivers. The modem itself is configured as required by the ISP. So I try to make an ADSL connection, my provider is the list (MTU-intel under Russia), I enter my username/password, choose PPPOE as the transfer type and leave the DNS server options blank (ISP told me to do it this way). And guess what? Connection doesn't work! Any ideas on what I can check/modify to try and solve this problem?
For the soundcard issue, can you disable the built-in soundcard in the BIOS - then darddrake should only detect the PCI soundcard? Just an idea.......
For the modem: since you are connected via ethernet to the modem, your linux box shouldnīt need to know about pppoe. Just configure your internet access in MCC as 'ethernet' and set your gateway as the modem address. Thats the way mine is currently configured and it works....

Hmm, the idea about the soundcard sounds good. I am not sure about the modem, where would I enter my username/password or do I choose the LAN option when creating a connection.
I think you should choose the LAN option. I donīt think you should have to enter any password or username in Mandrake. Parameters such as password, username, pppoe etc. are configured in the modem - the modem should have a web interface for configuring it.........but Iīm guessing since I havenīt seen your modem.

Yeah, my modem does have a web interface for all this, but I can't get it to work as a router. That's the problem, so I am forced to use some sort of dialer.
