Kudzu
I did an FTP install on my Sony PCG-SR33K (Mandrake 9.2), because most Linux distros have problems bootiing from the PCMCIA CDROM. I selected to install only KDE and nothing else to keep the instll time to a minimum (it was getting late). Since I did not have a CDROM in the PCMCIA slot during install, Mandrake will not find and install it now. I thought Mandrake had used Kudzu to detect new hardware at boot, but I cannot find any information about Kudzu when I google it.
Does Mandrake still use Kudzu?
Should it find my CDROM when I boot?
I have tried to mannually edit my /etc/fstab with out any luck, and from other posts that I have seen, other peopls don't seem to have much luck either.
Thanks.
