Krename's servicemenu missing

Hello there

Since I have switched from Mandriva 2006 powerpack to Mandriva 2007 One KDE, I have lost krename's servicemenu entry in KDE.

Krename still works when I start it manually, but it's not anymore in konqueror's servicemenu. To put it another way, when I select a group of files in konqueror, do a right-click, chose "action", the "rename with krename" entry (that was present in Mandriva2006) isn't displayed anymore.

Alas, added to that, the 2007 version of krename for mandriva has a bug, the drag-and-drop of files inside isn't working.
The only solution, at the present time, is to manually open the folder contaning the files, that takes much longer.

Would you know how to add this to service menu ?
I have searched a bit, but I must confess that didn't come out easily...

This article will give you an overview on the process:

http://developer.kde.org/documentati...vicemenus.html

In mandriva the ".desktop" files that generate the service menus in konqueror are located in /usr/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus. I have both mdv2006 and mdv2007 installed and found two krename .desktop files in mdv2006 that are missing in mdv2007. They are krename_dir.desktop and krenameservicemenu.desktop. I copied them both into mdv2007 from mdv2006 and when I restarted kde the krename service menu was back. If you still have mdv2006 installed you can do the same.
If not, both files are simple text configuration files which you can create and paste into /usr/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus. Here is the text for krename_dir.desktop:

Code:
[Desktop Entry]
Actions=Rename
Encoding=UTF-8
ServiceTypes=inode/directory

[Desktop Action Rename]
Exec=krename -r %U
Name=Rename with &KRename
Name[de]=Mit &Krename umbenennen
Name[es]=Renombrar con &KRename
Name[fr]=Renommer avec &KRename
Icon=krename
And here is the text for krenameservicemenu.desktop:

Code:
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
ServiceTypes=all/allfiles
Actions=Rename

ExcludeServiceTypes=kdedevice/*

[Desktop Action Rename]
Name=Rename with &krename
Name[de]=Mit &Krename umbenennen
Name[es]=Renombrar con &KRename
Name[fr]=Renommer avec &KRename
Exec=krename %F
Icon=krename
