kmymoney and unsatisified libkbanking.so.1

I'm trying to install kmymoney2-0.8.5-1mdv2007.0.

I'm using Mandriva 2007 Powerpack.

When I select this RPM for installation, I get the error:

Quote:
Sorry, the following package(s) can't be selected:

kmymoney2-0.8.5-1mdv2007.0.i586 (due to missing libkmymoney20-0.8.5-1mdv2007.0.i586)
So, doing the logical thing, I select libkmymoney20-0.8.5-1mdv2007.0.i586 and get the following:

Quote:
Sorry, the following package(s) can't be selected:

libkmymoney20-0.8.5-1mdv2007.0.i586 (due to unsatisfied libkbanking.so.1)
I found nothing on Google to explain how to resolve this cryptic error.

Question: How do I satisfy libkbanking.so.1? Take it out to dinner and a movie?

How are you trying to install this package? Start a terminal and enter
Code:
#urpmi kmymoney
You can also look for kmymoney in the GUI package manager (its in the software section of the Mandriva Control Center).

If that fails, then go to easyurpmi and setup the various main, contrib, plf and updates repos for Mandriva 2007 and after that try the commands above.

And I have success, thanks to reddazz. Much appreciated.

I was trying to install it from the GUI package manager tool, which is what gave me the error messages to start with.

I tried to reinstall using a terminal, but got first the error that it should have been "kmymoney2" and then the error "unsatisfied libkbanking.so.1" again.

In desperation, I took reddazz's hint and tried to reinstall the mirror by going to Mandriva Club. (Being in Canada, I looked for the USherbrooke mirror.) Thanks for the hint!!

SUCCESS!!

This time when I went to the terminal and typed "urpmi kmymoney2", it installed without a complaint.
